Dear QKR members

I would like to make the following announcements regarding upcoming QKR activities.

The next seminar and grading opportunity will be at the Collingwood Park Sports Facility on the weekend of the 12th and 13th of July.

On this occasion we will be offering Kyu gradings in Kendo and Iaido and Dan gradings to Shodan level (if a candidate for Nidan is 
interested, they need to contact me urgently so I can confirm whether a grading panel can be found.) Some of our senior members 
will be attending gradings and/or seminars in Japan during that weekend, and we wish them the very best for their Shinsha opportunity.

All other arrangements for the weekend will be as usual, cost is set at $10 per day attended for all participants and QKR standard
 grading fees will apply.

This Seminar will also be the time for the QKR AGM, and this year the QKR executive committee election is required. The executive 
term of office is 2 years, and the positions of President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer are eligible for appointment. 
Notice is given for nominations for these positions, including from the incumbents. Proxy documents will be made available as soon 
as I can find the file.

I would like to take this opportunity to notify the Renmei that I will not be renominating for any position on the QKR executive. 
After 15 years on this committee in a variety of roles, I have some personal issues that require my attention going forward and am 
not able to commit the time that I have previously. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of you for your support of the 
Renmei over that time.
